Nate Halverson is a national Emmy Award-winning senior reporter and producer at The Center for Investigative Reporting in San Francisco.
He was a producer and the lead reporter in The Grab, a feature-length documentary directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite, which followed him and a team of reporters as they uncovered the powerful interests vying to control global food and water supplies (now for rent on Amazon, Apple, etc. and streaming on Hulu starting Oct. 10.)
Nate has reported from around the world, including Russia, Guatemala, England, Zambia, Congo, China, and Venezuela. His investigations have ranged from financial fraud and organized crime to uncovering internal company documents from a tech company which then paid a $155-million settlement to its users.
His award-winning work has appeared on NPR's Morning Edition, All Things Considered, Fox News, CNN, Mother Jones, Newsweek, PBS NewsHour, NYT.com, MSNBC and elsewhere.
